Ladurée’s Famous Macaron Delivered Instore by Chill

Bonjour! It’s official. Ladurée has now opened. And yes, Chill was right there ensuring the famous patisserie, can claim Sydney as part of its empire, delivered in store exclusively by Chill.

Our team ensures the precision logistics of these small, round macaron’s – {crisp on the outside, soft and smooth in the middle}, from the moment they depart their secret location and into your awaiting hands; faster than you can say – oui, safely and handled with a pinch of love and care. Just like it’s famous 1862 recipe prepared with precision, the finest ingredients and a pinch of know how. And when your favourite macaron is running low on supply, it’s our very important task to replenish the little sweeties in store at a moment’s notice. Thanks to Ladurée for the moment, this week we aren’t in any short supply of ‘cool’ news and a ‘cool’ macaron to deliver.

A short history {for the soon to be} Ladurée macaron fan! There are four Ladurée parlours in Paris, including the original in the rue Royale, which sell over 110 tons of macaron’s every year. Ladurée stores are now also present in Monaco, Switzerland, Japan, Italy, Lebanon, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg, Kuwait, Ireland, and the USA. And more recently in Brazil, Qatar, and Sweden. Ladurèe opened it’s first Australian store, in Sydney this week in September 2012. Fans include Carrie Bradshaw, who famously munched them in a Ladurée parlour in the final episode of Sex and the City.

And let us tell you, they are, by far, hands down the best macaron in the world! But don’t take our word for it. Since 1862 the story of the Ladurée macaron starts with Pierre Desfontaines, second cousin of Louis Ernest Ladurée, who at the beginning of the 20th century first thought of taking two macaron shells and joining them with a delicious ganache filling. The pastry chefs measure out very precisely the required amounts of almonds, eggs and sugar, before adding the final ingredient’s – a pinch of unique “know-how” and a little bit of magic. It’s impossible to just stop at 1 or 2. The little macaron lure’s you back for more. Call it a sweet tooth, but it becomes more like an obsession.

Yes, we’ve had enough of salivating from afar, so brace yourself people, it’s all about hand crafted Parisian patisserie goodness at Ladurée’s new tea parlour, Westfield, Sydney. Serving flavours like cherry blossom, liquorice, violet blackcurrent {just quietly the best}, pistachio and chocolate ghana. Overwhelmed by choice, then take in the beautifully designed Marie Antoinette inspired showroom – admire the chandeliers, pristine glass cabinets and white marble counter.
